Valli ‘madam’ because she was bold and was traveling alone. She needed no
assistant from anyone. Salutation ‘madam’ suited her personality. Moreover
conductor was a jolly fellow.

Ans2) Valli arranged money and information about this
journey with great difficulties. She wanted to see everything with her own
eyes. So she stood on the seat to look outside. She saw that the bus was going
