Ans1) Rajvir was classmate of Pranjol. They studied in Delhi. Pranjol’s father was a manager in a tea plantation in Assam. He invited Rajvir to Assam. Both were going there in a train. In the way, they sipped tea and discussed about it. Rajvir told that over 8O lakh cups of tea were daily consumed all over the world. He had collected lots of information about Assam and its tea plantations As they were going closer to their destination, scene outside window was changing. It was becoming more and more green and refreshing. There were orderly rows of tea bushes and many dolls-like women with basket on their back were collecting tea laves. Rajvir was very excited about his journey.

He visited the house twice a day.  Children arose with the sound of thud and jingle of the bamboo in the morning. They would run to greet him. Children were fond of sweet bread and the bread bangles. The ladies of the house bought the bread. Bakers were professional and it was a family business. It was a profitable business and most of the bakers were plump. They have their peculiar traditional dress. Today this profession has modernized, but bakers and bakeries are common sights in rural Goa.

Ans1) Wanda’s father wrote a letter to Miss Mason, the class teacher. The teacher read the letter in the before the students. Wanda’s father was unhappy with the behaviour of students towards his children. He wrote that Wanda would not come to the school any more because the students make fun of her. This letter was so sentimental tht it compelled the Maddie and Peggy to think about their behavior. Maddie could not focus herself in studies. She was feeling guilty of not taking any action. Peggy was finding excuses for her behavior. She consoled herself that she never made fun of Wanda’s name. But at heart Peggy was not happy. Maggie decided to accompany Peggy to see Wanda. They wanted to say sorry for their misbehaviour.

She was pretty and rich. She was good at drawing and designing. Maddie was a poor girl who usually wore Peggy’s old clothes. She was not in favour of teasing Wanda. She always wanted to stop Peggy, but could not do so out of her own compulsions. Both have different nature.

Peggy asks Wanda questions about different items like dresses, shoes, hats, and other things. Wanda claimed to have hundred dresses in her closet. But she always wore a faded blue dress, so nobody believed her. She became laughing stock of the class. Once, her father decided to shift his children from this discriminated atmosphere. She left the school. This deeply affected Peggy and Maddie. But Wanda forgave everyone.

Then he saw another plane indicating to follow it. Pilot of Dakota decided to follow it. He entered the cloud behind the other plane. His aero plane started jumping and twisting in air. His compass, radio, and other instruments were dead. Author followed the plane obediently. Soon the Dakota was out of the clouds. Author tried to find pilot of black aeroplane at the airport, but there was no one.

She took a piece and flew towards him. But mother halted just in front of him. The sight of the food made him mad. He dived at the fish and fell down. In his way down he struggled to save himself. Very soon his wings spread outwards and he started flying. All his fear melted away. Thus he learnt his first flight with the help trick used by his mother.

But on the other hand decades of torture and oppression produced men of supreme character like Oliver Tambo, Walter Sisulu. They acquired extra ordinary wisdom and courage. They  risked and sacrificed their lives just for an idea. They were subjected to tortures, brutalities and inhuman treatment. Nelson learned the meaning of courage from them. He understood that courage was the victory over fear, not just its absence.

Ans2)According to Nelson Mandela, a man has twin obligations in his life- one for his family and another for his country. He has to arrange basic necessities for his family members. He has to work for his children, wife and parents. On the other hand, he has some duties for the society and his country. He can fulfill them according to his capacities and abilities. Mandela was worried as it was impossible for a black man to fulfill them in South Africa. People were prisoner of the policy of apartheid. Their mind was bounded. They were unable to fulfill any of the obligations.

He was impressed by the Lencho’s faith in God. He decided to answer the letter so that is faith in god remain intact. He collected money from his friends and employees. He gave a part of his salary. He could collect 70 pesos and sent it to Lencho. When Lencho opened the envelope, he became angry as he knew that god could not deny his request. But he had full faith in God. He believed that God would let anyone die of hunger. He would certainly help him. He decided to write a letter to God asked for hundred pesos. He was not surprised on receivind reply from the god.
