row in the class. Both made fun of Wanda Petronski, who was a polish girl and
studied in their class. They made fun of her on her name, dresses and pairs of
shoes.Peggy was the most popular girl in school. She was pretty and rich. She
was good at drawing and designing. Maddie was a poor girl who usually wore Peggy’s
old clothes. She was not in favour of teasing Wanda. She always wanted to stop
Peggy, but could not do so out of her own compulsions. Both have different
nature.
Q2) What does this
lesson tell you about ‘Wanda Petronki.?
Ans2) Wanda Petronski was a young polish girl who studied in
a school. She lived on Boggins
Heights . Most of the students
in her class were American who found her name funny. She used to sat at back
benches of the room with the rough boys who did not make good marks. She usually
remained quiet and seldom said anything. Peggy asks Wanda questions about
different items like dresses, shoes, hats, and other things. Wanda claimed to
have hundred dresses in her closet. But she always wore a faded blue dress, so
nobody believed her. She became laughing stock of the class. Once, her father
decided to shift his children from this discriminated atmosphere. She left the
school. This deeply affected Peggy and Maddie. But Wanda forgave everyone.
