Ans1) Albert Einstein was a scientific genius of all time. He brought about a paradigm shift in science especially in physics. He had keen interest in physics and mathematics. In Zurich he worked on relatively. His theory of relatively showed that time and distance are not absolute. Time for a person in space with speed comparable to that of light is much slower than that for a man on earth. He gave a famous formula E=mc2. This formula formed the basis of nuclear reactor and atom bomb. His General   Theory of relatively gave a new meaning to Gravity.. The world showered on him honors and invitations. He was honoured with Noble Prize in 1921.

Q2) Einstein was a visionary and a world citizen. Comment.
Ans2) Albert was a man of high caliber. In the scientific field he contributed a lot. In 1905, his famous theories come with special Theory of Relativity. It specified that time and distances are not absolute. He established a relation between energy and mass. He proved the interchangeability of energy and mass that became the basis of use of nuclear energy. Unfortunately some people used this energy destructively. Mass destruction caused by bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki touched his heart.  He pioneered the agitated to end up the arms buildup. He was against atom bombs. He dedicated rest of his life to fight against this enemy of humanity. Because of his tireless efforts for the humanity he was considered both as a visionary and a world citizen.

Ans1) Kezia wanted to give a present to her father on his birthday. She decided to make a pin –cushion for him. She took a beautiful piece of yellow silk and stitched it on three sides. Now, she needed something to fill it. She went into her father room. There, she found that many sheets of fine paper lying on the table. She picked them and tore into pieces. Then she stuffed them into pin-cushion and sewed its fourth side. But it was her father’s important speech. When her father came to know about it, he became very upset.
He picked up a ruler and beat her. He was not right in punishing her. He must have realized that she was innocent. Her intention was good. He could warn her politely.

Q2) What were kezia’s feelings about her father at the end of the story?
Ans2) Kezia used to fear her father. After he beat her over pin-cushion incident, her fear turn into horror. She started avoiding her father. Once she had a nightmare. She began to cry. There was nobody to help her. Suddenly her father appeared with a candle. He took her to his room, made her lie with him and comforted her. He asked her to rub her feet against his legs for warmth. Here he learned shehnai under his maternal uncle AliBux. He took Indian classical music all over the world. Bismillah khan started winning awards from the age of fourteen. He got the best performance awards at the Indian Music conference in Allahabad and three medals at music conference in 1947. On the first Independence Day he greeted the nation with Shehnai. He was also honored in Montréal and Osaka. In Tehran an auditorium was named after him. Highest civilian award Bharat Ratna was conferred on him.

Ustad Bismillah khan get recognition in the world of Music at national and international level. He invented ragas on the shehnai. His themes were related to ethos of temples and human relations.  He turned these themes into ragas on the bank of the flowing river Ganga. He was fascinated by the beauty and serenity of holy Ganga. He told that the flowing water of holy river Ganga helped him to create many ‘ragaas’ through his shehnai.
