Ans1) To other girls Wanda’s name was funny. It was
different from the usual names in that area. Moreover Wanda lived on Boggins Heights and her clothes were not so
clean. She was a laughing stock of other girls. They made fun of her hundred
dresses.
Q2) Who was peggy?
Why and how did she make fun of Wanda?
Ans2) Peggy was the most popular, pretty and rich girl in
the school. Peggy made fun of Wanda because she always wore a faded blue dress.
Peggy and her friend surrounded Wanda and asked her to tell how many dresses she
had in her closet. Then they burst into laughter.
Q3) How can you estimate that Peggy was a soft
girl?
Ans3) Peggy was a soft girl. It was her habit to protect
smaller children from bullies. On seeing an animal mistreated, she cried for
hours together. She was cruel to Wanda only because she always claimed to have
hundred dresses in her closet that Peggy thought could not be true.

Ans4) Maddie felt embarrassed when Peggy teased Wanda by
